Seanna and I go way back guys. Way back to high school days. Where we cut out photos from Teen Beat and decoupaged their photos onto shoes boxes to hold all of our notes to each other. Does this make us sound old? Yes, handwritten notes that you used to pass back and forth. Before text messages, Facebook and Snapchat we would put pen to paper write notes and then fold them in super cute almost origami ways before hand delivering it to each other.
So you can imagine my excitement when Seanna called me and said she wanted to get a few more photos of her gorgeous Lazaro wedding gown while her and her husband, Mike, celebrated their one year anniversary at the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla back down in our hometown of San Diego. I was so excited to catch up and spend time with her and finally meet her husband! And guys, can I just say, she still looks as beautiful as she did in high school!
It was one of those engagement sessions that worked out absolutely perfectly! We had beautiful golden light for some late afternoon snuggles on a short hike. Then we walked down to the beach and caught the most gorgeous pastel sunset. Colleen and Mark met through mutual friends, he offered to help her move some furniture into her new apartment and the rest was history. They were getting married in August and both love Harry Potter, which they incorporated into their wedding, so its only fitting we brought their Harry Potter books out and added them to the session to highlight Colleen’s engagement ring. XO
This wedding was definitely a favorite of mine! Paula + Greg loved visiting Palm Springs together from their hometown of San Diego. So they knew it would be a gorgeous destination to have friends and family come for their wedding! It was definitely a family affair with her mom helping her with her bouquet and baking all the goodies and cakes for their dessert table. The chose Casa Cody Bed and Breakfast because everyone could stay there together and spend the entire weekend together, lounging in the pool, basking in the sun and being walking distance from some great bars and restaurants. Before their wedding, I scouted out a beautiful hillside spot for their portraits before the ceremony. They wanted to show the beautiful mountain and desert scape that is Palm Springs. I think I picked a good spot about 10 mins south of Casa Cody. Their portraits are so beautiful and you can just tell how in love they are. I really enjoyed being invited to spend the weekend with them and their friends and family and photograph all the special moments of their destination wedding in Palm Springs!

Emily + Bret were married back in 2014 at the Beverly Hills Courthouse and I loved photographing their wedding so much! When Emily reached out and told me she was pregnant you can imagine how excited I was for them! And of course even more when she wanted to meet up again for maternity and newborn photos. Little baby Eve was such a sweetheart. She was pretty much awake the entire time. I think she just wanted to hang, try on different head bands and see what the heck we were all up to! Newborn sessions are some of my favorite sessions. They are only this tiny for such a short amount of time it really makes the photos even more important.Welcome to the world Baby Eve!
