Los Angeles Natural History Museum Wedding. From the moment I met with Lara + Chris, I knew these two loved to have fun, valued their friends and family so much and loved each other like no other. If you missed their incredibly fun dinosaur themed engagement session, please go see what I mean, and check it out here: Lara + Chris Engagement

Getting married at the Natural History Museum is no small feat but you do get to enjoy and experience a lot of the museum just for you and your guests. You definitely need an amazing planner and a talented team of vendors that can quickly turn this space into an enchanted wedding space! And Lara + Chris did just that. Renee from Moxie Bright Events and her team put together an incredible wedding and it is honestly one of the most unique spaces to get married in Los Angeles! Lara wanted to get married in her mother’s wedding gown, but with some modern updates to it, so thankfully Williamsburg Seamster did a beautiful job tweaking the gown for her. Lara wanting to incorporate her mother’s dress again, shows how much their family means to them and is one of my favorite details about their day. Betsy DiFrancesca is one of my favorite people for hair and make up and did a beautiful natural look for Lara too! Courtney from Cecile’s Paper Company made the most elegant invitation suite that encompassed Lara + Chris and the museum all in one!

Best Day Ever Floral Design made one of my most favorite wedding bouquets ever and created some amazing ceremony greenery to go along perfectly with getting surrounded by animals in the Hall of African Mammals. During the ceremony Lara had her ring bearer come down the aisle in his own dinosaur costume and it was one of the highlights! During cocktail hour you had your choice between delicious coffee from The Cappuccino Man or cocktails from Tres LA, all surrounded by huge dinosaur exhibits!

During the Reception the Blue Breeze Band had some incredible music to dance to, which Nights for Lights turned the dark hall into a party with VOX DJs to follow! And of course, being the amazing unique people they are, Lara and Chris were not cake people. They are cheese people! I mean who isn’t? So instead of cutting their wedding cake later in the evening, they cut their own cheese wheel and it was glorious! There were still lots of treats and desserts from Portos Bakery and Eagle Rock Italian Bakery.

While most of the wedding day is indoors at the Natural History Museum, we did so many beautiful photos earlier in the day outside on the grounds of the museum. They really do have a unique outdoor space as well! So while her vendors were inside working their magic before the ceremony, we took advantage of the beautiful natural light and outdoor landscape. We did their first look outside and then went into portraits with the wedding party and family. It really is the best of both worlds. Lara + Chris’ wedding will really go down as one of my favorite days. Not only because I got to know them so well during their engagement session, as I do with all my clients, but you could really feel the love between them and with their family and friends from all over. It was one of the most unique days with some of my most favorite vendors in Los Angeles. Enjoy looking through their incredible wedding day!
