Hawaiian Memories
I was so blessed to have spent some of my fall traveling with friends and family. My most memorable trip was to the island of Oahu with my husband and some of our dearest friends! If I close my eyes I can smell sunscreen, pineapple and fruity cocktails all while basking in the warm sun. We all stayed in an amazing villa at Aulani where we floated in the lazy river and went down waterslides. We ventured up to the North Shore where we got our Matsumoto Shaved Ice and watched the Vans Triple Crown Surfing Competition. We explored the museum at Pearl Harbor and paid our respects to the USS Arizona Memorial. We strolled through Waimea Valley. And these are just a few of my most favorite memories. One thing I am most proud of was facing a huge fear of mine. SNORKELING! Now some may laugh, but I have always had a healthy fear of the ocean. It is one of the most beautiful parts of our world, but I just have never been able to hang with swimming in someone else’s home and not knowing when they will come out and greet you. But I did it! I sang a lot of Little Mermaid songs to get me through it. And got to spent some time in one of the most amazing wonders of the world, Hanauma Bay. Later we hiked Diamond Head - that has one of the most insane 360 degree views I have ever seen. But after all our adventures each day, my most favorite thing was soaking the infinity hot tub, with a cocktail, great friends with sunsets like no other. It was a vacation I so desperately needed and enjoyed. And I was grateful to have been invited! Here are just a view of my most favorites (mixed with some iPhone pictures)!! XO
