Glowy and Romantic Point Dume Engagement Session in Malibu

I’m often asked, “where should we shoot our engagement session?” Some clients know right off the bat and some don’t and it’s totally fine! I usually like to ask if there are meaningful locations around Los Angeles from when they were first dating or first moved here. Do they have a favorite spot they go to on date nights? The possibilities are endless! 

Lexy + Scout chose Point Dume in Malibu for their engagement session because it was where they went on their first dating anniversary! How perfect is that? And in the spring time it was the perfect set up for so many different backdrops. There is the beautiful ocean and Point Dume, of course! But there was also a gorgeous hillside full of yellow wildflowers that added more color to their photos. I am always looking to add lots of natural elements to my photos, especially vibrant wildflowers! 

Some of my favorite parts of a beach engagement session is that pink sunset and we sure did pick an epic night for it. The last photos below on the beach were absolutely spectacular!
