The Giving Tree Maternity Session

I met Heather when she asked me to partner with her on a wedding styled shoot. We have worked on a few shoots together now and I was so thrilled when she asked me to photograph her maternity shoot! Set beautifully in the rustic woods of Topanga Canyon in Malibu, at Old Canyon Ranch, Heather created a shoot around the concept of Shel Silverstein’s “The Giving Tree” – perfectly sweet since she’s expecting a baby boy. She added other elegant elements including a bouquet and floral crown that she made, a flowy maternity dress by Elise Deanne Designs and a sign with a quote from the book by Little Dreamer Prints. The deep red colors popped beautifully against the wooded setting and I think she looks absolutely gorgeous!
